TQ2175 : Departing Barnes

Departing Barnes
Departing Barnes
A train formed of class 458 units (458523 leading) approaches the level crossing at Vine Road. In the foreground discarded netting from recent engineering work and a forgotten helmet can be seen.

South West Trains passenger services were severely disrupted on the day this image was taken due to emergency services attending an incident at Earlsfield - As a result I was not able to identify where this train was going. Another impact was that the westbound trains were travelling closer together than normal and the crossing barriers were often only opening for a minute at a time, causing delays to local traffic.
