SK5748 : Former Pumping Station Vicinity, Redhill, Notts

taken 3 years ago, 3 km from Bestwood Village, Nottinghamshire, Great Britain

Former Pumping Station Vicinity, Redhill, Notts.
Former Pumping Station Vicinity, Redhill, Notts.
The Grade II-listed ornate bridge across the cooling pond, with a view towards the East Lodge situated on the west side of the A60 (the main Mansfield-Nottingham road). The majority of the structures on the entire site date from 1871 and are Grade II-listed. It seems likely that the two lodges provided tithed accommodation for the families of senior staff who were employed on the site.
