The blue plaque commemorates the architects John Loughborough Pearson and Sir Edwin Lutyens, both of whom at one time lived in this house.
Lutyens is a well-known figure, of course; John Loughborough Pearson was a Victorian architect whose buildings include St Michael and All Angels Croydon TQ3266 : Croydon: St Michael and All Angels church, from the north and St John the Evangelist Upper Norwood TQ3369 : St John the Evangelist, Auckland Road.
