Old enclosure beside the Spouts Burn
The picture was taken on the western side of the Spouts Burn. An indistinct linear mound recedes directly from the photographer's position, before gently curving off to the right.
Behind it, the Spouts Burn can be seen, flowing from left to right.
The mound is part of an old and very faint enclosure, the one mentioned in the last sentence of the end-note; for a view in the opposite direction along this part of it, and for another view, see NS4278 : Old enclosure beside the Spouts Burn. As noted there, there is a more visible enclosure on the opposite bank of the burn, and another larger one just to its north, around the former site of a farmhouse. The larger enclosure was obviously associated with that farmhouse, and the two smaller ones on either side of the burn almost certainly were.

Enclosures beside the Spouts Burn
Immediately to the east of the Spouts Burn, a low bank forms an irregular four-sided enclosure which is shown on the first-edition OS map (surveyed in 1860), but not on later maps; this is the enclosure "90m to the SW" that is described at Link
(at Canmore). Its course is still visible on the ground; see Link
for an annotated satellite view, in which the four corners of the enclosure are indicated by green markers. Also marked on that view is a larger, fainter, and more irregular enclosure on the eastern side of the burn.
