Old Mill Pond Site At Turnberry
Old Mill Pond Site At Turnberry
Turnberry Mill, also known as Culzean Mill, was sited beside Milton Burn. It was powered by water diverted from the burn and taken along a lade which ran alongside Drumdow Road. The hollow in the field shows the site of the old mill pond, from where the water was taken below the road to power the corn mill. The mill building was converted into a private house.
