Fulmars at Dysart Harbour
Fulmars at Dysart Harbour
The Fulmar is a species of small albatross which likes to nest on the cliffs above Dysart Harbour. If you get too close to one, they will spit a foul-smelling oily liquid at you. This one was photographed from a safe distance from the Sailor's Walk, which runs along the cliff top. Its mate is on the right, partly hidden by foliage. In the background is the roof of the former fish factory.
