Manchester Irish Festival Parade 2016

The Manchester Irish Festival is claimed to be LinkExternal link Europe's biggest Irish Festival outside of Ireland. The annual event was being held for the 21st time in 2016. The festival took place over 15 days between 4th and 19th March, featuring a programme of Irish culture, comedy, heritage, literature, music, sport and theatre, with more than 100,000 visitors expected to converge on the city centre for the St Patrick's Day Parade which was held on Sunday 13 March. The parade started from the Irish Heritage Centre at Queen's Road and finished in Albert Square.
