Just one of many rocky outcrops and low summits (mostly unnamed and little visited) scattered over the broad plateau that separates Langdale from Grasmere. It is a fabulous place for the curious wanderer to explore, particularly on a fine Spring day with snow still clinging to the higher fells. Bow Fell is the commanding height at the head of Great Langdale.
