Entrance to Castle Taylor Woodland - A native woodland restoration project
This woodland of 32.8 hectares is an ongoing project in the restoration of native woodland types. Considered a Special Area of Conservation, this particular woodland is associated with limestone pavement and outcrops. The removal of non-native tree and shrub species has been undertaken in order to encourage the proliferation of native limestone flora and the reestablishment of native tree species including ash, yew and holly.
