Under the bridge - Rotton Park, Birmingham
This view of Rotton Park Junction was taken from under the shelter of the Rotton Park Junction Bridge which bears the date 1854. The junction was the result of James Brindley's Birmingham Canal Old Main Line being superseded to a certain extent by Thomas Telford's Birmingham Canal New Main Line, which was seven miles shorter in total, leaving these loops, now little-used. Time photo taken 1.54 pm BST (British Summer Time).
