Memorial on the site of RAF Winthorpe LinkExternal link now Newark Showground and Newark Air Museum LinkExternal link The memorial was dedicated on 24th September 2000 and features a propeller hub of a MK 111 Short Stirling, EF186 from No. 1661 HCU, which was then based at RAF Winthorpe. The aircraft crashed out of control at Breeder Hills near Grantham on December 4th 1944 with loss of all nine crew.
