Damage to Monmouth viaduct
Damage to Monmouth viaduct
The viaduct which once carried the Wye Valley Railway across the river on its way to Chepstow hasn't been maintained since the early 1990s, and it's beginning to show! The company which currently owns the viaduct - and lord alone knows why they bought it - can't think of a way to generate income from it, and it's not listed, so it may well be demolished in the near future. There are already reasonable concerns for the safety of livestock and passers by, as this picture illustrates.
