Grey Street was built by Richard Grainger Link
in the 1830s with the aid of several architects, including John Dobson (1787-1865 Link
) who designed the eastern side of the Street up to Shakespeare Street. Grey Street is renowned for its Georgian architecture, and was voted 'Best street in the UK' by BBC Radio 4 listeners in 2010 (Link

This blue plaque is affixed to the wall on the eastern side of the street, close to its junction with Mosley Street.
