Grey's Monument is a Grade I listed monument (English Heritage List Entry Number: 1329931 LinkExternal link Heritage Gateway) to Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey LinkExternal link . It was erected in 1838 to acclaim Earl Grey for the passing of the Great Reform Act of 1832. The monument, which stands at the head of Grey Street, consists of a statue of Lord Grey standing on a 130-foot column.
