A ferry leaving Dartmouth for the short crossing to Kingswear, on the opposite bank of the River Dart.

This ferry carries foot passengers only, but there are two other ferries close by which take cars.

The River Dart rises at Lower White Tor on Dartmoor and flows generally SE to its mouth at Dartmouth. Its valley and surrounding area is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The river's mouth is an excellent example of a Ria (drowned river valley).
