O2718 : Bandstand, Bray

taken 3 years ago, near to Bray and Little Bray, Wicklow, Ireland

Bandstand, Bray
Bandstand, Bray
Historic bandstand on the seafront at Bray - the only survivor of three that were sited here originally. It was purchased from the 1907 Irish International Exhibition LinkExternal link and sited here shorty after. The ironwork has foundry inscriptions which are very heavily painted and difficult to read but look like "Hammond Lane Dublin" - this would make sense as some of the original iron fencing on the right bears the same foundry inscriptions - see O2619 : Seafront, Bray.
