NY4756 : Sand on the road

taken 8 years ago, near to Warwick-on-Eden, Cumbria, England

Sand on the road
Sand on the road
This is the road from Warwick Bridge to Great Corby. During floods in December 2015, the road and fields on either side were under water. When it drained the field on the right, which borders the River Eden, was left with a thick covering of sand - see NY4756 : An expanse of sand deposited by floodwater . Subsequent high winds caused the sand to drift across the road.
