taken 9 years ago, near to Radcliffe, Bury, England

Crossing the Viaduct
Crossing the Viaduct
Originally constructed to carry the East Lancashire railway to Bury, Radcliffe Viaduct and an associated series of bridges now carry the Metrolink tramway over the River Irwell and around the eastern side of Radcliffe.

Here, Bombardier tram number 3057 is crossing the viaduct on it journey from Bury to east Didsbury. The view is from the former East Lancashire Paper Mill (ELPM) site on the northern bank of the River Irwell.
