Disused Railway Line
Disused Railway Line
Bridge carrying a forest track over the former Great North of Scotland Railway line from Lossie Junction (Elgin) to Portsoy through Poundlerís Wood . Considering this section of the line opened in August 1884, the track-bed and bridge are in reasonably good condition. A zoomed in look at the right hand wall of the bridge reveals the binding posts and porcelain insulators that would have carried the block telegraph wires under the bridge, before carrying on either side on telegraph poles.
