This power line radiating from the new SSE substation at Knocknagael was recently upgraded to transfer the power from new wind farms across the Highlands. Only the actual power lines and insulators were upgraded, the pylons are the original ones. There is a bird of prey’s nest on the top of the pylon, but had flown off before it could be identified.
