NH3428 : Exclosure fence, on moorland by Strath Marsley
taken 9 years ago, 3 km from Cannich, Highland, Scotland
Exclosure fence, on moorland by Strath Marsley
This is the top edge of a fenced exclosure, on the RSPB Corrimony reserve. A variety of native trees are being planted within the exclosure.
The RSPB are not keen on full height deer fences due to the risk of bird strike, especially from black grouse and capercaillie. So instead they are using this design of fence - it has a regular height stock fence, plus an offset electric fence.
