Lodges and gateway, Skelton on Ure (1)
The ensemble of buildings at Newby Hall's eastern entrance is remarkably long, as if the architect, William Belwood, was unsure how to stop. There are vermiculated piers, screens, two pairs of lodges, and gatepiers. Built in 1777. Grade I listed.
