Werneth Low Triangle
The triangle of land at the junction of Werneth Low Road and Cowlishaw Road which was given to Bredbury & Romily UDC by Walter Mansfield. It borders Hyde and affords wide views across the north and east of Greater Manchester. A plaque SJ9592 : Werneth Low triangle plaque states that these sycamores were presented by Sir William Mather. Since 1968 when the Queen planted another sycamore on the site SJ9592 : The Queen's sycamore locals often refer to it as the Queen's triangle.
