Photo taken from the footpath that runs above Blackheath Lane (which at this point runs 20 feet or so below the general level of the surrounding terrain: Link ).

There were cattle in the field (just about visible on the skyline, right) but they hadn't yet noticed me.

It had been a warmish day, with butterflies on the wing.
