Railway Viaducts at Castlefield
Arriva Trains Wales DVT (LinkExternal link ) 82307 leads a passenger service across the Salford Branch Viaduct, one of the four 19th century railway viaducts at Castlefield, as it approaches Manchester.

The viaduct was built by the Manchester South Junction & Altrincham Railway in 1848-9. In this view, the train is about to pass under the iron truss girders of the Cornbrook Viaduct which was built for the Cheshire Lines Committee by the Midland Railway in 1877.
