Snowdon Mountain Railway
Snowdon Mountain Railway
Hunslet Engine Company locomotive no.10 descends from the Snowdon summit. Built in 1986, it was one of four diesel engines produced at the Hunslet firm's Jack Lane works specifically for the Snowdon Railway. It was nicknamed 'Yeti' following a competition among local schoolchildren who chose the name most suitable for a mountain creature.
