If you look carefully you can see smoke coming from a hole in the ground. The ground is very warm to the touch. The old man who lives in the wood close by told me that 7 years or so ago some kids were setting the grass alight and the peat or coal underground (can't remember which it was), caught fire and has been burning ever since.
