Dragonhead of the Draken Harald Hårfagre, Lerwick
The Draken Harald Hårfagre is a clinker-built Viking longship. It is a reconstruction of what the Norse Sagas refer to as a “Great ship” and it is 35 m long. It is in Shetland en route to North America after leaving its home port of Haugesund in Norway. The Norwegian flag in the background is on the sail training vessel Statsraad Lehmkuhl.
