Golden Jubilee Clock, The Parade, Swindon
The clock stands at the junction of four pedestrian-only streets in the commercial centre of Swindon. At the base is an inscription which reads, 'Inaugurated by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh KG KT commemorating the Golden Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II'. This view is towards the east. Early evening shoppers are on their way home. I photographed it a few months later SU1484 : Golden Jubilee Clock, The Parade, Swindon
