This building was formerly a pub called the Stanhope (according to an elderly man I spoke to nearby), and was Oliver's Paris restaurant for a few years before it suddenly closed in 2007. For a while after that it re-opened as an Italian restaurant called Il Migliore. Finally it was a nightclub called The Manor, which was shut in 2014 when its licence was revoked due to repeated problems with violence and drug use.
The main part of the building probably dated from the early 1800's, with later additions at the rear.
The building is being demolished in 2016, and (according to the same man) 16 houses will be built on the site.
A planning application for demolition was approved in Feb 2015.
Update 2022 - there is now a short street called Manor Mews on the site, with 8 new houses.
