Base of medieval wayside cross near Woodburnhill
The base of a medieval wayside cross is situated on a knoll standing in a field known locally as 'The Crosses' alongside an old routeway now used as a public footpath. The position of the rectangular socket hole suggests that the cross was positioned to be visible from the E or W, that is, from the old way along which it is situated.
