The Brick Beach - Crosby Shore
The Brick Beach - Crosby Shore
Looking north, along the shore, from the Hall Road car park. The red brick appearance of the beach is due to rubble from the wartime Blitz through to 1970s slum clearance which was dumped on the beach to try to prevent erosion. Over the years, the bricks have become worn smooth by the tides and now resemble large red pebbles.
