Bridgnorth castle remains and St Mary Magdalene's tower.
Henry II's tower of 1166-74 took its present exaggerated tilt after Parliamentary troops paid it some attention in 1646. 'They check it every couple of years' said a helpful guy tending the gardens. Telford's church tower is seen behind.
