This wall is well-built, and therefore difficult to climb over when descending from the moor. Just round the corner there are steps projecting from the wall on the moorland side, but none on the reservoir side. When faced with this problem it is best to climb over at a wall junction or corner. The opening for the stream has smaller opening above them, presumably for flood flows.
