Columbine flowers
Columbines are clump-forming herbaceous perennials with long-stalked, divided basal leaves and erect, leafy stems bearing bell-shaped flowers. The flowers of the wild species (Aquilegia vulgaris) are usually blue and also referred to as American bluebells, but many purple, mauve, pink and white variants have been developed in gardens.
