NS4878 : The John Muir Way beside Burncrooks Reservoir

taken 9 years ago, 5 km NNW of Edinbarnet, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland

The path runs particularly close to the shore here, and, as large-scale mapping shows, there are some small islet-like features near the shore. Some Greylag Geese were on or near these, and another one can be seen as a small pale object ahead, at the left-hand side of the path, just where it turns out of sight: NS4878 : Greylag Goose.

The path itself is new; it had officially been opened just seven weeks before the picture was taken.
