Bluebells turn East Hill blue
Late bluebells carpet the lower slopes below East Hill, protected not by trees but in the summer by a dense canopy of bracken, the fronds now unfurling below.

The farm in the distance, on the north side of the River Breamish, is Reaveley. Dunmoor Hill rises into the mist clearing in morning sunlet behind.
