Cowdenbeath Railway Station

Opened on 29th March 1919 by the North British Railway Co, the station is on what is now known as the Fife Circle line, 22.5 miles north of Edinburgh Waverley.

Some clockwise services via Dunfermline terminate here before reversing back out of the station to switch to the other track for the return journey to Edinburgh via Dunfermline.

Other services complete the full circle journey from and to Edinburgh Waverley in each direction.

The station is conveniently located in the town centre with (steep) ramped access to both platforms and a footbridge between the platforms.

A set of points just north of the station enables terminating services to switch tracks for the return journey.
