Access road to Rackheath Hall
The cattle grid marks the start of the access road to Rackheath Hall which has been developed into luxury flats. The Park existed by 1588 but was greatly enhanced in the early part of the 19th century with the formation of new lodges and an avenue. During WW2, the airmen based at RAF Rackheath, USAAF Station 145, were housed on sites located within the park.
