Kirkstall Forge Station, Leeds
Kirkstall Forge Station, Leeds
Kirkstall Forge Station officially opened on Sunday 19th June 2016, although the site was accessible at least 2 days earlier. The station was served by 1 train per hour each way towards Leeds and Bradford, which later increased to 2 per hour, with some additional services at peak times. It is intended to serve offices and residential buildings which will be built on the Kirkstall Forge site, and has a substantial car park for park-and-ride passengers. The journey time to Leeds station is 8 minutes, considerably better than the scheduled time by bus. For people living on this side of Horsforth it offers a significantly quicker journey than going to the city centre by car.
