Millfield Lane Polling Station
St. George's Methodist Church on Millfield Lane being used as a polling station for the European Union referendum to decide whether Britain should remain or leave the European Union. On this occasion the polling station was much busier than for many recent elections (Police and Crime Commissioner and council elections).
EU Referendum 23 June 2016

The UK is set to have a referendum on 23 June 2016 on whether or not to remain a member of the European Union (EU), an economic and political partnership involving 28 European countries. Basically, a referendum is a vote in which people eligible to vote can take part, normally giving a "Yes" or "No" answer to a question. The side receiving more than half of all votes cast is considered to have won. According to current opinion polls the British public are fairly evenly split.
