Bolton, Queen's Park
The town hall is the most notable landmark visible through the trees. The spire is that of the former St Paul's Church which closed for worship in 2003 and has since been converted into apartments.
Queen's Park, Bolton

Queen’s Park is to the west of Bolton town centre, between Chorley New Road and Spa Road. Prior to being made into a park, the site was pasture land known as Spa Fields.

When it was first opened. in 1866, the park was called Bolton Park; it was renamed as Queen’s Park in 1897 in recognition of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. The park has recently been refurbished with support from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
