Arch in Atcham Old Bridge
Arch in Atcham Old Bridge
An arch of Atcham Old Bridge reflected in the waters of the River Severn. The bridge was built between 1769 and 1771, carrying Telford's Holyhead Road across the River Severn to the south-east of Shrewsbury. It was built by John Gwynn who was also responsible for building the English Bridge in Shrewsbury and Worcester Bridge which are also over the Severn. He also built Oxford's Magdalen Bridge.
