Hadrian's Wall Trail at Sewing Shields
Just before the wide-open ridge of Sewingshields Crags, the trail passes through a short woodland interlude beside the farm. The small stone outhouse may once have been an outside loo. What would the Romans have thought about their mighty Wall being recycled as such?
