Former Shoreham-Christ's Hospital Railway
Former Shoreham-Christ's Hospital Railway
Opened in 1861 the railway branched off the Brighton-Portsmouth line at Shoreham and joined the Arun Valley line at Christ's Hospital south of Horsham. There were stations at Bramber, Steyning, Henfield, Partridge Green, West Grinstead and Southwater. The line closed in 1966 with much of the trackbed later used for the long distance Downs Link footpath. However, this section east of Wyckham Farm has not been included.
