taken 17 years ago, near to Ardtoe, Highland, Scotland

Ardtoe
Ardtoe
The dam wall on the left of the picture was originally built to block off a tidal inlet for aquaculture research. Run until recently by the Sea Fish Industry Authority, Ardtoe was the original research unit into whitefish farming in Scotland, and turbot and cod farming were pioneered here.
