The CWGC Headstone of J.J. Harradine
1798617 Gunner Jeffrey James HARRADINE served with the 425 Battery, 126 Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment Royal Artillery until his death on 28th August 1944.
This is his only memorial and as far as I am aware was the only casualty of the Second World War to have come from the village as there is no War Memorial.
The nearby church at Rushford Has a World War One Memorial and two names on it belong to Brettenham. One additional name from Brettenham, that of Wallace R. NEWBY goes unmentioned.
