Lady Waterford Hall, Ford, Northumberland.
Lady Waterford was Lady of the Manor and owned Ford Castle in the 19th century. A gifted amateur watercolourist with an interest in the welfare of the tenants on the estate, she rebuilt the village. A new school was built – today the Lady Waterford Hall, and is decorated with wall paintings by Lady Waterford, and opens daily at 10.30am.
