Predator midge trap, Clatteringshaws
A midge trap outside the visitor centre. They work by using a gas flame to emit heated air to which the midges are attracted - once within range they are sucked into a bag rather like a vacuum cleaner's. This day it was cool and breezy so the trap was not needed.
