Brill Windmill
This is a post mill with a round house, four common sails and winding by tailpole. Thought to be of late 17th century origin with later additions. Restored in 1948 and 2009 but no longer workable.
This is a view looking up inside the round house to the bottom of the buck. The main post goes up into the buck and supports it while it is itself supported by four quarter beams. The radiating timbers support the roof of the round house. I am afraid it's not as sharp as I would like, despite two passes of unsharp mask.
